refunds & returns policy

this policy explains refunds and returns for purchases made directly on the female collective website.
if you buy via amazon, amazon’s returns and refund policies apply.
if you are an organisation purchasing doyenne via invoice, your refund and cancellation terms will be covered in your separate agreement
1. todaysheis.me physical books (uk direct orders)
returns window: you may request a return within 7 days of receiving your book(s).
to be eligible, items must be in resaleable condition.
how to request a return: email weare@thefemalecollective.group with your order number.
return postage: unless the item is faulty or sent in error, you are responsible for return postage.
refund timing: once received and checked, we will refund you to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
faulty or damaged items: if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number. we will offer a replacement or a refund.
signed or personalised items: signed or personalised items are non-returnable unless faulty or sent in error.
2. doyenne refunds (individual purchases made on this site)
doyenne is delivered in person and is date-based.
a) your statutory cancellation rights
- if you buy online, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase under the consumer contracts regulations.
- if your cohort starts within that 14-day period and you ask us to begin providing the service immediately, you may lose the right to a full refund once the service has started.
b) our commitment to you (module 1 satisfaction commitment)
show up fully for module 1. if it doesn’t meet your expectations, we won’t force it. we’re not here for polite participation, we’re here for all-in, authentic change.
if you let us know within 3 working days of attending module 1, we will refund the remaining programme fee (what you paid minus module 1 and the leadership profile blueprint), within 10 working days.
this commitment applies only where:
- you attended module 1, and
- you notify us within the timeframe above, and
- you have not attended any further modules beyond module 1.
how the refund is calculated
your programme fee includes nine modules plus the leadership profile blueprint. for refund purposes, we assign the following values:
founding cohort
- module value: £275 per module.
- leadership profile blueprint value: £775.
standard programme
- module value: £305 per module.
- leadership profile blueprint value: £950.
if you choose to exit after module 1 under this commitment, your refund is:
- total paid minus (1 module value + blueprint value).
- we absorb standard payment provider processing fees.
c) cancellations outside the module 1 commitment
unless otherwise stated on the checkout page for your specific cohort:
- more than 14 days before the cohort start date: full refund available. we absorb standard payment provider processing fees.
- within 14 days of the cohort start date: no cash refund.
after the cohort has started: no refunds.
transfers are not offered as an alternative to cancellation.
3. leadership profile blueprint (standalone purchase)
refunds are available only where required by law, or where we cancel and cannot reasonably reschedule.
blueprint credit toward doyenne
if you purchase the leadership profile blueprint as a standalone product and you join doyenne within 30 days, we will credit the full £950 blueprint price you paid against your doyenne programme fee.
think of this as testing the water. doyenne is where you jump in at the deep end and do the work.

4. klarna & clearpay
if you paid using klarna or clearpay, refunds are processed by us where eligible. klarna or clearpay manage your repayment schedule under their terms.
4. organisations (invoice terms & refunds)
doyenne organisational programmes and the female collective organisational framework are contracted and invoiced separately.
standard payment schedule:
- 50% due on signing to secure delivery dates.
- 40% due 5 working days before programme start (or before the first scheduled session).
- 10% due net 14 from programme completion.
refunds are not offered once contracted, except where required by law. where changes are needed, the default remedy is rescheduling or re-scoping by agreement.
if delivery is paused due to late payment, programme timelines and completion dates may shift accordingly.
